Hi, my name is Maria and I am a Product Designer based in Seattle, WA.
As a former civil engineer, I learned how to plan the construction process from the signing of the contract to the laying of the last brick of the building. I understand how important it is to prepare for a project before building a foundation. I apply this approach to UX design. Knowledge about people’s goals, motivations, and needs is the foundation of design. I believe that design should be human-centered, useful, and accessible.

Six years ago, I relocated to the U.S. and co-founded a travel startup. This experience gave me a unique perspective on developing a business. I was responsible for all aspects of design, brand identity, customer communications, and marketing.

Right now, I'm part of the team at Edge, where we're building zero-to-one software products. It’s exciting, fast-paced work, and I get to collaborate with an incredibly talented group of people. Together, we’re designing tools that solve real problems and bring immediate value to our customers.
